Bachelor in Paradise Filming Suspended After Allegations of Misconduct, Sources Say

NOTE: This post is being updated as we learn more information. Last updated on Monday, June 12th at 1:34 PM PST.

This afternoon, Hollywood Reporter and a variety of other sources reported that ABC has halted production of this season’s Bachelor in Paradise due to allegations of misconduct. Bachelor in Paradise is scheduled to premiere on Tuesday, August 8th, and as such, filming began in the last week.

Reality Steve, a Bachelor franchise insider, quickly took to Twitter to provide more information on the breaking news.

Reality Steve then went on to cite @AmyKinLA as a source for more information.

 

Amy Kaufman, a writer for LA Times, tweeted (below) that a Bachelor producer witnessed Corinne and DeMario hooking up in a pool, failed to show up to work the next day, and later filed a third-party complaint, effectively halting filming and warranting the cast to pack their bags.

As always, more contestants were expected to show up throughout the duration of the season.

Update: A TMZ article was released Monday morning, with sources close to Corinne sharing her side of the story. Based on this article, Corinne ‘did not consent’ to the encounter with DeMario.

Update: On Monday, June 12th, past Bachelor contestant Leah Block (from Ben Higgins’ season of The Bachelor) took a shot at the producers of Bachelor In Paradise. Jasmine Goode, a contestant that was set to appear on this season of BIP quickly came to their defense:
